- We are a family owned and operated working cattle and sheep ranch in southeastern New Mexico. We offer a guest ranch stay at Burnt Well. You can come and participate in real ranch life and get a taste of what ranching and the west is really like. The ranch has been in the same family since 1950 and has been a working cattle and sheep ranch since that time. Taking guests is a fairly new aspect of our ranching business which we began in 2003.
